

OUR STORY
Milano Italian Grill is rich in tradition and it was built honestly from the very beginning.

After coming to the United States at the age of 19, I, Talal Hajali landed in New York with only $15 in my pocket. I was born in Sierra Leone, a very remote part of the country, and was very fond of my little village, Kassirie. This love, however, could not keep me there for long as I dreamt of one day coming to America. Initially, it was a struggle as I had to learn the trade in New York and work my way to San Antonio with little money. Once in San Antonio, I met a wonderful gentleman named Mori. Mori owned a bunch of restaurants in the San Antonio area and he became my mentor.
Having worked for and with Mori for many years, I became efficient and creative in my own right, creating great dishes, and recipes for Lamb chops , Chilean Sea Bass , Red Snapper, Filet Mignon , Sea Scallops , and my famous Milano Shrimp. Each of these are great dishes, created fresh each day with local ingredients. I look forward to continuing to build long lasting relationships and establishing Milano Italian Grill as a standard for Italian food in the San Antonio area. The new Milano in Stone Oak still maintains the original recipes and same chefs for the past 22 years. We take great pride in providing the highest standard in quality, service and consistency.
